This is just a myth created based on stories elders tell to their grand kids before they go to bed or sleep. There was no such thing its a combination of things.
In Islam it teaches that humans use to be giants during Adam's time, however decreased in size. They now have a term for this in science which backs the Islamic teaching.
It seems like they are mixing those two things. Adam existed long before civilizations lived in Africa let alone this Harla thing.
The Hararis migrated to East Africa from Arabia 600 years ago, no human was a giant 600 years ago and they never lived in the Somali lands...hararis only lived in Harar.
Even a child knows this is mythology. Thanks for the interesting reading though its good to see others views.
