Sigh. Scorpions are not insects. Scorpions _are_ arachnids (mentioned once). Arachnids and insects diverged from a common ancestor about 500 million years ago. By comparison, the first four legged land animals diverged from fishes about 400 million years ago. If you wrote an article about humans, but replaced the word "human" with the word "fish" in all but one occurrence in that article, people would notice your ignorance.
