Announcing Gadling and the Nomading Film Festival’s Happy Hour

Drinking and socializing. The two common threads that weave through any traveler and especially through any travel writer who’s spent some time out in the community. It’s our way of collecting stories on the road, learning about a destination and getting to know the lay of the land — whether it’s over lamb’s blood tea in the foothills of Kyrgyzstan or in the rowdy hallows of St. Marks in New York City.

Rarely will you find a travel writer who doesn’t enjoy drinking a pint and sharing a story, and it’s damn near time that Gadling started taking our spot in the community and facilitating.

It starts next month.

Together with our friends at the Nomading Film Festival, we’re sponsoring a happy hour at our favorite digs in the city, Superfine in DUMBO, just off of the York stop on the F and a hop, skip and a jump away from the action in Manhattan and the hipsters in Brooklyn.

Stop on by. Visit your favorite Gadling bloggers and your affable NoFF hosts. We’ll buy the first couple of drinks and then it’s happy hour for the next few hours. We’d love to meet you. You can pick up a ticket (good for two free drinks) at this Eventbrite page. Once you get there, keep an eye out for the mob of people (ask for Bassam or Grant) and we’ll distribute your tickets.

See you there.
