I still have and use an avocado green pasta strainer that my dad got at an Esso station back in the 70s. But that was back in the day when you got towels in your laundry detergent and cool stuff from the bank. The free stuff isn't what it used to be.
I live in southeastern Virginia and we have a gas chain called Wawa that makes sandwiches to order and has a coffee bar along with the usual convenience stuff. I've never run into a nasty bathroom so they are my gas station of choice.
Growing up we used a Gulf gas station that looked just like your Magnolia photo. Bathroom was pretty scary even back then, though.
