In these days of heightened security and Islamaphobia, the bathroom itself is probably under surveillance! (Then there are perverts watching others pee or defecate.)
There's no reason for Ms. Silva to have felt embarrassed. A marriage proposal is cause for celebrating life! As stated above, the passengers reacted with loud applause.
