From my own packing checklist medical section: Kleenex (generally easy to replace en route, but good to have a few packages to start), plastic eyewash cup (seldom needed, but small and light enough to take along just in case), magnifying glass (or iPhone, for locating splinters), face masks (in case your airplane seatmate has the flu), and a tennis ball (for a self-administered back massage after a long flight).
