Its easy to get around the high prices. Just go down a day early, hit all the time shares spots. We got free tickets, visa gift cards, free parking and even a free stay next year. Just have to give up about 4 hours of your time, hit the right ones. And, your good to go. Then, when they start the pitch- simply say--OH, "we bankrupt"..and they show you the door right quick. (:

I have learned that you book through disney.com, then they email you all the special offers and some that aren't even advertised. We booked (in Florida) for the budget Pop Century, got emailed a free upgrade to Old Key West or Saratoga Springs - went from a budget room with no kitchen or anything, to a spacious studio at OKW (more sq footage in this place than anywhere else in a studio) - it was more than double the nightly rate for Pop Century, we also got free meal plan and all the free transport, and if you stay in a Disney place and have a car, the parking is FREE at the parks. So, from now on, we book Disney, pay for a multiday park to park ticket, take them up on any deals offered and get the free meal plan when it comes on offer too (every year we go in September - November time - best deals, still great weather). This year we did Universal instead, got a great deal there too - stayed at the Hard Rock, multi day ticket, got on the Harry Potter rides at 8 am with early park entry - awesome. Tried the time share approach once, never again, they really went hard sell on us and you couldn't leave until they gave you the free tickets!
