Bluetooth headsets may be quite a bit past the point where they were considered exciting, but the Nica Sunrise headset from Maverick Lifestyle certainly can’t be blamed for trying to differentiate from the rest. And yes – the name does sound more suitable for a cocktail than a Bluetooth accessory.
The headset itself looks quite interesting – and instead of relying on uncomfortable in-earpiece, the back of the Nica Sunrise has a large open air speaker. Its earclip is made of soft molded rubber, and can be installed for left or right use.
But perhaps the most innovative feature is the optional desktop or car charger dock – which both make it easier to charge the headset when not in use.
The rest of the features are relatively straightforward; 4 hours of talk time, 150 hours standby, sliding power switch, Bluetooth 2.1, multi-point pairing and 10 meter range.
The Nica Sunrise headset is available in red and black. It retails for $79 and is available from Best Buy Mobile, Apple Stores and Amazon.com.
