While this is a beautiful shot, I don't think that this shot represents much of what Istanbul has to offer. This is a classic shot that every tourist takes. I'm sorry, I don't really like this as the chosen picture of the day.

Thanks for your comment Roxanne. It would be impossible to choose one photo from our great but limited pool to show what Istanbul has to offer. I do think the Galata Bridge is a classic photo and one place that is equal parts local and tourist. Incidentally, I *loved* your Flickr photo of the graffiti jump shot but we can't feature what we can't download! Keep taking great shots and enjoy Istanbul!
