When traveling from Cleveland to Vegas via Chicago our initial flight was 45 minutes late leaving due to having to burn off fuel to compensate for the additional weight of some last minute passengers. We made up the time in the air only to find our gate blocked by a baggage cart of a baggage crew on break in Chicago. Made it to our connecting flight with 15 minutes to spare only to find our seats had been given up - so we would have to take a flight two hours later although our baggage would be on the original flight. Got to Las Vegas, no baggage because the flight it was on never left the ground. Baggage was finally delivered to our hotel 8 hours later.
