This confirms that the suggestion that a flight attendant can sit in the co-pilot's seat is a ridiculous recommendation. The training a pilot goes through and what a flight attendant goes through are two separate and distinct skill development requirements. I hope that this confirms to leave pilots where they belong and flight attendants in the galley.

Brenda before you start making comments about flight attendants sitting in the pilots lap. You better know what your speaking about. Flight Attendants are only there for aircraft emergency and medical emergency. Not to serve food, not to make your flight more enjoyable. They have the training as a EMT. they know the aircarft that they are flying on in side out .To get people like yourself off in the event that their is some medical or aircraft emergency. I would like to see how long you would last just in the training of any US carrier. It is an FAA regulation for every 50 people on a US Carrier that their be no less than one F/A per 50 pax. The Airline it self can supper seed what the FAA demands. And you think they have time to go up to the flight deck and sit in a pilots lap. How highly misguided are you?

Patrice....read what Brenda said before going off at the mouth and looking ignorant. She said sitting in the co-pilots seat nothing about his lap. Yes this has been proposed for airplanes to fly with one pilot and if something were to happen to train the flight attendant to be able to help pilot.

Patrice..where did Brenda say a flight attendant would sit on the pilot's lap? She's referring to the comments made by RyanAir CEO to lose the co-pilot and in the event of an emergency a flight attendant could land the plane ("hell, these days the planes practically land themselves!"...right?). And for the record, supper seed = supersede.

To Patrice. Your comment had a spelling errror, it's "there" not "their". The word their is for ownnership. There is demonstrative also the opposite of here. They're is they are. In the event there is some medical emergency... not their as you stated.

I have flown as pilot 47 years starting at age 18.This pilot was fit I know him.
We need 2 pilots on passenger flghts. This flight had 2 pilots that is why this flight was saved.
