Let's try leaving this comment again...
#1: Make sure to see MORE thermals than just Old Faithful. Many folks find some of the larger (and even smaller) geysers more impressive than the famous one. Check with the Visitor Center for estimated eruption times. Also, many of the pools are quite striking.
#3: Yellowstone is NOT a great biking park, in part because there's little to no should along most of the roads. Plus, folks speed all the time, so it's not really conducive to safe biking. If you do choose to bike in the park, pack bear spray. Many bikers ride right past grizzly bears without realizing it (or realizing it too late). You never know how a startled bear will react, or if they'll consider a small moving object like a biker to be prey, so be prepared.
If you have time (say, a week or more), consider exploring outside the park as well. Visit the Tetons (arguably better hiking, better for moose and much prettier in autumn), drive the Beartooth Highway (featured in a recent Gadling article), check out the Wild West show in Cody or go underground at the Lewis and Clark Caverns.
