Great post, we've all been in the "avoid bird situations". Maybe you guys got a point there with the speed, haven't really thought of that.
One thing that hit me was that the f/a was standing up at 1000ft. As you said a bit scary. At our company we must get a call from the cabin before landing when everyone is sitting down including the f/a:s. Don't you have anything like that? Guess things work a bit different here on the other side of the pond. Thanks and keep up the good work.
