Kelty Gunnison 2.1 tent giveaway
Last week we reviewed the Kelty Gunnison 2.1 tent. This versatile back woods shelter works equally well at a full-service campground as it does on a lightweight backpacking excursion. We're hooking-up one lucky Gadling reader with a Gunnison 2.1 of their own. That's right, it's time for a tent upgrade. The Gunnison 2.1 is a two-person shelter that sets up quickly, and keeps occupants dry in heavy downpours. With camping season in full swing, there's no better time to win some new outdoor digs.

I have never been camping in a tent but I don't have any place to live at the moment and I was thinking of camping out in a tent. This one looks really great! I used to go with my parents in thier Airstream trailer when I was a kid and we would camp out; but, the Airstream is no more and I am homeless! One of my favorite places to camp was along the upper shores of Lake Michigan along about Spring Lake, especially in the early fall.

My favorite camping spot is in Shannondoah on the Appalacian Trail called Old Rag. It has great views and various terrain to climb to make the hike more interesting and exciting including crossing over sterams, climbing up boulders etc. There's a small cave at the top which is nice to cool down in. It was my first backpacking experience though I've been back twice over the years.

Maine Coast - anywhere N. of Bath.
There is NOTHING like falling asleep to crashing waves and waking to salty air. Heaven! (especially in a well ventilated tent ;))
