I haven't been to many of the restaurants listed here but I would say that Cheeseburger in Paradise doesn't deserve to be on the list. They are way over-rated. A much better burger is Cool Cat Cafe.
Fred's Mexican Cafe as well is a poor excuse for Mexican food and the joint isn't particularly clean.
Some of my favorites are: Hula Grill in Kaanapali. Maui Brewing Pub in Kahana Gateway Center. They have the very best selection of craft beers in all of Hawaii. The Castaway Cafe just north of the Kaanapali beach cant be beat for breakfast. Plantation in Kapalua is also very nice and the view is spectacular.
