Hi,
As one of the former record holders, I am obligated to angrily denounce anyone who dares break my record. http://www.360cities.net/prague-18-gigapixels
Just kidding. Actually I wanted to point out what bothers me about some of these "world record photographs".
http://blog.360cities.net/gigapixel-charlatans/
tl;dr - most of them aren't actually sharp when you zoom in because of incorrect shooting techniques and atmospheric conditions. And worse, many of them are ugly or boring (which photographs are allowed to be of course).
Congrats are in order at any rate, this is a lot of work, and this 70 gigapixel is a nice one.
