I don't know what to say - Google may say battery life sucks, but I've been using it for over a month without any bad experiences with the battery. I've carried it alongside a Garminfone, Nexus One, G1 and a MyTouch 3G, and in all cases, the Incredible did as well or better than these phones.
As for the side port, I mention that under the "TV Out" part - until the EVO came out, this was the only Android phone with a video output. Thankfully, video out is becoming a standard feature on most new Android devices.

I'm sorry to hear that others have bad experiences with the battery life, and I'm happy that you add that to the comments here so others can do their own research before buying this phone.
