Don't grab the seat in front of you - Airplane tip
During your next flight, be considerate of the passenger in front of you. When settling down into -- or, getting out of -- your seat, don't grab the seat in front of you for leverage.
Nothing is more startling (or, annoying) than to suddenly feel your seat rock backwards because the passenger seated in the row behind you couldn't just use the armrest.

This is one of the most annoying parts of air travel! I hate it when I'm just dozing off to sleep and I suddenly wake up to "turbulence" that is actually the guy behind me using my seat as leverage to get his body out of his seat.
It's bad when the plane is boarding, but worse in mid-flight!

I try very much not to do this. I can easily use the armrest when the seat in front of me is in the upright position. However, if the seat is reclined, and I'm in coach, sometimes it is hard enough to stand up straight, let alone not grab onto the top of the seat, at least for a second. I try not to yank it back, though.

Oh really, how about the person in front of you who has a bulkhead seat and reclines all the way back? There is no room to exit without that "grab hold" and they complain. They have to know, otherwise they would not have gotten the bulkhead seat.

I have to use that seatback...air travel is not meant to be comfortable or we would all be in first class seats. How about the person who reclines the seatback then never uses it or sits up & never returns the seatback to an upright position. I have been on many a flight where that's happened. Just sayin...........

Oh yeah. If dude-wipe in front of me insists on rolling their seat back into my lap...its SHAKE AND BAKE TIME BABY. I grab the living Buddha out of the back of their seats and give it an extra jig jag as I stand my big ace up. It feels good every single time I do it and I often find myself looking for reasons to stand up. Lesson to those inconsiderate Boss-turds that feel they have the right to make themselves comfortable at the person's expense behind them. Nougat.

Not to mention getting your hair pulled at the same time!
Although as long as seats recline, I believe occupants are entitled to recline them. If you need to get up and the passenger ahead of you is reclining, a simple "excuse me, I need a little extra space while I get up" would probably go a long way.

Turbcast is a great i-phone app for fear of flying.

Seriously, is this really worth publishing as a flying tip? Isn't this common courtesy?
Airline Tip: Don't yell "fire" on a plane. It may frighten the passengers and crew.
Airline Tip: Don't openly belch on a plane. It may bother your neighbor.
Airline Tip: Don't stare at your neighbor. Staring at people is off-putting.
Seriously.
