I just came from Cluny, and on arriving in Beaune I discovered your exquisite new book "Food Wine Burgundy."

You are absolutely amazing. I love your writing, your information, the format of the book, the depth of your knowledge of food, wine, history,the way you know how to weave it all together in your amazing, catchy prose -- absolutely everything.

We are staying at Les Jardins de Loïs, where they have your book scattered here and there. They keep trying to put a face to your name, but can't. Aren't you clever?

Tomorrow we are off to Tournus, which we have visited time and time again, and I know your description will ring in my ears as I walk through it this time.
