I have my father to thank for the man that I am today :) He taught me such wonderful family values and ways to critically think and analyze the world :)

My husband is the best in the world because he understands me, sometimes even better than I do. He is very manly, yet very compassionate with our kids.

I'm going to talk about my husband because he is the best Dad I know. He's a very hard-worker, one of the kindest people I know, always very understanding and loving with our son and he's also hilariously funny. He's the kind of person who is always willing to help everyone. Thank you!

The Dad in our house is the best Dad in the world because he ALWAYS takes time for what is important to his children. Whether it is showing them something in the workshop, playing catch in the yard or just sitting down to talk, he takes the time. Sometimes he is so overworked he can barely get through the day, but he never lets that stop him from taking the time for what is important to his kids. Best of all - he always gives his time and attention with a smile!

My grad is the best because she is a straight A student, academic letter winner in all subjects, lettered in soccer, a member of the Spanish Honor Society, a member of the National Honor Society, a leader and achiever at her school, Who's Who, and serves on a local junior board of directors while helping me recover from a stroke.

My son is the best grad(high school). Four years ago he asked if he could attend a high school with a religious affiliation. We were not into it at time because we try to support the public school system. It was a sacrifice but he did it and graduated last Tuesday. In hind sight it was the right move.

My hubby married me 14 years ago when I had an almost 14 year old daughter. He has worked hard all of his life to take care of his family, first his adoptive parents and then his married family. He has been there for me for the six surgeries for me, three for my daughter, the long illness of both of my parents and their eventual deaths. He works long hours at his job helping people determine what they want in life while his wants and needs never happen. I would love to have him win the Garmin so maybe he can find his true calling - chasing and filming tornados.

My dad has sacrificed for his family and always put us first. Now, as an adult, I can really appreciate everything he's done for us. Love you, Dad!

My Dad is the best because now more than ever we have gotten closer than we were when I was growing up. We've had great talks and he has been my spiritual advisor this past year. It's been rocky, but he really helped me through this last year.
Minta Jun 11th 2010 11:45AM
My dad is always there for me and gives me great advice. He helps out with house renovations and makes sure I stay on top of my yardwork.
McKim Jun 11th 2010 12:02PM
My dad was a gentle soul. He never raised his voice, and gave careful thought to everything he said.
Monique Rizzo Jun 11th 2010 12:17PM
My dad worked 2 jobs to provide for me. He's the best.
Thanks for the chance.

My husband is the best father in the world. How do I know? Because I can see it in the way my children run to him when he gets home from work, the way they hug him so tightly as if they will never let go, the way their eyes light up whenever they are playing with him, and they way they tell him so simply, "you're the best dad ever!"

My dad is the best because he's always there for me! I'll always remember him taking me to Reds games and laughing with me over Seinfeld reruns!

My Dad is the best in the world for several reasons. He's a supportive, loving husband, and patron of my brother and I. I've grown up looking up to the man that I am proud to call my Dad. He's worked hard all of his life, and has a strong sense of haracter. He's a simple man, and for the most part keeps to himself, but one thing is for sure- he loves his family with all his heart.

Before I was born, in the late 70s, my dad was a police officer. Unfortunately, his career was cut short when an underage drunk driver hit him, leaving him permanently handicapped. He went through alot (100 surgical procedures in a matter of months) but made it through. He had to retire from the force and by the time I was born, was a stay at home dad while my mum worked.
After a little while, he got back to working, one job was as a teachers helper at a school for mentally challenged children, and another job as a long-term substitute teacher for a first grade class (I was the same age at the time and boy was I jealous that OTHER kids got to spend all day with him!). After that he went into working security. No matter what he did for work, he was always in a role where he helped others.
He's probably the most selfless person I have ever known. Almost everyday after work he drives 45 minutes each way to visit my grandpa at the VA home. He never asks for anything for himself, and always lends a helping hand.
Lately he's been interested in learning more about technology and gadgets (he's fairly technology-illiterate). He bought himself a video camera and has been filming the family dog doing crazy pet tricks! I'd love to be able to win another little gadget he can experiment with in his free time!
