It's a Small World after all: Walt Disney World vacation photo captures familiar face
In their very own Lost flashback moment, a Florida couple has discovered that they crossed paths much earlier in their lives -- on childhood vacations at Walt Disney World.Days before their wedding, Donna Voutsinas was showing her then-fiance Alex old family photos, when she came upon one of her and her siblings posing with the pirate Smee at Walt Disney World.
But, as the couple told WESH TV, Alex was more interested in the man pushing a stroller in the background. Turns out, it was Alex's father pushing the stroller that Alex was riding in.
At the time, Donna's family lived in Florida, and Alex was visiting the Sunshine State from Montreal.
The Voutsinases met decades later at work, not at Walt Disney World. Today, they live in Boynton Beach, Florida.
"Just to be in the same picture with my wife when we were basically toddlers, it's unbelievable," Alex Voutsinas said.

It only SEEMS that way because of the fluke chance of a photograph being involved. If you were to actually track all of the millions of people you have passed on crowded streets (and parks) over your entire life, you would realize that you have been within close proximity to just about everyone you know at one time or another before you think you actually met them. I had a friend in Los Angeles with an actual photographic memory (not just a good memory - a virtually perfect memory, at least for faces). Wherever we went, she could pick out people and say where they had been the last time she saw them. She would astound people with this talent, making them feel like she had been stalking them for weeks - even months. "You were in Macy's three days ago, and I saw you outside of Taco Bell a few days before that. You were in the same movie theater in the middle of about the fourth row from the back a couple weeks ago, and we passed you on the Universal Citywalk earlier that same day." The only surprise here was that a photo happened to record the moment. Probably over half of people passed by their spouse at some point before they think they met for the "first time."

We were taking a trip through the cemetery on a vacation to New Orleans and took a picture of a tomb stone because the graves were above ground. My son was 13 years old at the time.
Later when we got our album out his intended bride said why do you have a tomb stone with my name on it? This was 11 years later. They have now been married for 20 years. I guess they were destined to meet also.

My sister and her husband are in a photo together when they were both 6, each visiting a family member in another state who were next door neighbors! We discovered this last year when my daughter was putting together photo albums and stopped and said "wow that looks just like Aunt Ellen and Uncle Fred as kids!" and she was right! My sister met him "again" when they were 20 years old on a blind date, and they are celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary soon. (or is it their 59th? LOL)

that's nothing, my husban and i were in the nursery as newborns at the same time. I was born on September 25th and he was born on the 30th in the same hospital. I was in there longer, b/c I was a c-section baby and they kept my mom and I there until October 1. I discovered the coincidence when my son was born and was looking at a photo of the day i came home from the hospital and it was dated oct 1.
We grew up only 10 minutes from one another but did not meet until we were 16 working together at a local movie theater

Okay, so you also have a story of coincidence, but do you have to preface it with "that's nothing"? Is this a case of one-up-manship, or can't you just be happy for the other couple?

Finally! A nice story :)
And I hope Disney gives them some lifetime passes 'cause that would be icing on the cake!

This is a great story ! My husband and myself have a similar story... As children in the annual Christmas pagent in our city we were paired up as the " snow man & Wife" and preformed together on the second night. We attended different schools from opposite sides of the city we lived in. He remembered me, I on the other hand wanted nothing more then the night to be over and done with ! But I did remember the boy the paired me with the second night, because he was the same height as myself... 20 years later we really became husband and wife... and still going !

That is just amazing. My and my husbands paths had crossed a few times during our lives. We lived two cities away and in different counties. But we always happened to be at the same place on those occasions. When I was 12 I went to a Girl Scout camp which was about 50 miles from my home. On the other side of the river there was an apple orchard. He and his brothers and cousins threw apples at me and my friends. So I threw them back. We were even in 2 classes together in college. And I thought he was the biggest jerk. There were 2 other times in between. This year we are celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary.
