British Airways lets Osama Bin Laden try their new mobile boarding pass solution [Updated]

In a serious case of "what were they thinking", a British Airways company magazine used a boarding pass issued to Osama Bin Laden to show off their latest mobile ticketing service.
The name was obviously put there as a joke, but the timing couldn't be any worse - a month after severe disruptions caused by volcanic ash, British Airways is now in the middle of a series of five day strikes - so customer satisfaction is already at a pretty low point.
A British Airways spokeswoman told ABC News that "A mistake has been made in this internal publication and we are working to find out how this occurred".
According to the boarding pass, Mr Bin Laden flies in First class, and has a frequent flier number with Northwest Airlines. Sadly, knowing the brilliant minds behind the anti-terror organizations, the terror level will be raised to "red hot" on October 26 2010 while airport police all around the world try to figure out which airport the most wanted terrorist in the world will be flying to.
UPDATE from @BritishAirways, via their Twitter stream --
@Gadling A mistake has been made in this internal publication and we are working to find out how this occurred.

It seems that Bin Laden has a Northwest frequent flyer number. Gotta save up those miles!

Bin Laden was sitting in 7C? Can you imagine if your seat was in 7B, right next to that smelly, disgusting, piece of filthy crap? Die and rot in hell, Bin Laden, you jerkoff.

You are a idiot..Man the left has become so anti AMERICAN that it is unbelievable that you morons dont move to Venezuela?

It would be quite difficult for the late Osama bin Laden to be a frequent flier when he's been dead for some time now. At some point in time, maybe 2002-2004?, a foreign correspondent for the New York Times wrote an article stating that bid Laden had been killed during one of our massive air strikes in Afghanistan and was buried in the hills.
Think about it. You haven't seen any movies of him since that period of time, have you? All the messages are done on tape with no picture of the person saying it. And besides, bid Laden had to have a dialysis machine with him, so I doubt he'd be that hard to spot if he were alive. Look how easily they found Saddam Hussein from little particles of clothing. They're both dead and the world is a better place without these two morons.

Yeah--and Bush said that he found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. What Republican Kool-Aid have you been gulping?

Hello Don: Well you're "half right",,, in that Sadam Heussen is indeed dead (he's been dead for over 3 years now). But what makes you so sure that Osama bin Laden is dead? I have no doubt that within 24 hours after discovery of Osama's "deceased state" (by the very first, Earthly soul), the news would've spread like wildfire and would've covered all nooks & crannies of the globe! Thank about it! Now that may be true,, that we have NOT seen any actual "video" of Osama,, since late 2001,, but that is most definitely his voice that we've heard on the "Osama bin Laden" audio-tapes,,, over about the past 8 years (including a very recent audio-tape,, where he addressed "President Barrack Obama"). Osama has not done an updated video because he is smart enought to know that that would "risk" his whereabouts being detected! Furthermore,, let me say that Osama NEVER had a "kidney condition", he was never on Dialisis, that was all just a "front". He has always been in near "perfect" health,, including today, Summer 2010. I hate to burst your bubble, but Osama bin Laden IS still very much alive today,,, he's very well hidden and protected,, while at the same time,, he still remains astronomically "powerful" and "dangerous"!

They found Saddam Hussein in his HOMETOWN...Personally, i believe Usama Bin Ladin was killed in Tora Bora. The other crazy guy Abu Nidal (Black September) was found dead in Baghdad in 2002.

British Petroleum. British Airways. Is there something in your water that makes you this way? For the sake of us all, you better start looking into it!

Aw man THAT IS HILARIOUS!! God, who the hell wouldn;t find this funny? OSama Bin Laden is one sick dude who I would murder instantly if I ever saw him.

I had gay sex with bin laden on numerous occasions. The guy is (and was) a closet homosexual.

In these times, I NEVER joke about ANYTHING when I fly. I see NO reason to joke.
Why in the world would British Airways use something that is so offensive to the victim's of 9/11? I find it in poor taste...They could have thought of something else like Queen Elizabeth...or Camilla Parker Bowles...
MP Jun 2nd 2010 1:21AM
Osama bin Laden is NOT WANTED for the attacks on 9/11. LOOK at the FBI's official Wanted poster for him (revised in Nov. 2001) and see for yourself: http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/topten/fugitives/laden.pdf

Americans are the sickos in this world.

I'd feel safe if he sat next to me on the plane. Unlike those idiots who work for him, Ben Laden never puts his own life a risk. And besides, I could use that $3 million reward I would make for turning him in.
