Treehouse in Sweden lets you live like the Swiss Family Robinson

In the Swedish town of Ugglum, something fantastic has been built high in the oak trees - the "Seventh Heaven" tree house. The house is one of several tree houses in the town, and was built by the Islanna Café & Lantkök.

Imagine checking into your "hotel room", unrolling your sleeping bag, and spending the night on the huge balcony, overlooking the stars. In the morning, the hotel staff will even hoist your breakfast up in a basket. If a trip to Sweden isn't on your agenda this year, check out some of the sites that offer tree house plans and designs.

Also be sure to check out our recent lineup of luxury treehouses from around the world - including one high in a forest in Belize, surrounded by parrots!

The tree house is scheduled to open soon, so be sure to keep an eye on the blog of West Sweden for updates!
