Walt Disney World offers free tickets for stranded European travelers
Walt Disney World is offering free one-day park hopper tickets to travelers stuck in the Orlando area because of the air travel disruption in Europe. The tickets will be available today and Wednesday and are good for admission to the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT (to see the spring Flower and Garden Festival, perhaps), Disney's Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. These passes also include admission to Disney World's two water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.
To get a free Disney World ticket, you must show a canceled airline ticket or expired boarding pass for a European flight, as well as a passport or other photo ID. You can also get reimbursed for Disney's $14-per-day parking fees if you have to pay them to get to the parks.
SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Aquatica started offering a similar deal over the weekend.
The Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau is maintaining an online list of of hotel and attraction discounts available to those stranded by the volcanic ash cloud.

nice ploy to get us to click on article.....Who cares?? I guess normal vacationers will bear the burden of extra charges to pay for this "kind gesture"... Here's a really kind gesture, lower your prices by 25% for everyone!!

Funny, I hosted two orphan Ukrainian sisters last summer and called Disney to see if they were willing to donate two tickets to these girls. My husband and I were already going to be buying five adult and one child ticket for ourselves and our four children. Disney refused. It is so nice that they are willing to give free tickets to people who have enough money to fly to Florida for vacation, but not to two orphan girls from Ukraine that came to America with three pairs of underwear and two outfits. How lovely and compassionate!

I think it is a nice gesture to people going through the ordeal of being stranded.A polite person should offer a likewise gesture or encouraging word or be quiet

Soooo nice,huh?...I had 3 Japanese families here in November and tried to see if Disney would discount----not!
Anyone stranded in FL would probably pay double the gate fee just to get home!!

Well that is nice. but only because Universal Studios in Orlando started it first. Believe me..... they most likely will not give their stranded guests a discount on the nightly room rate. If they were smart, they would..... if they have an empty room, any money is good money... Keeps the guests going to the parks, spending money at the hotel restaurants, arcades, stores and the reduction in the room rate will make up for the money people will spend. Better then having the guest check out and spend their cash at the airport...
