Detroit TSA agent moonlighting as armed fast food robber
A Detroit TSA agent has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in at least four robberies of local fast food restaurants. The men were caught on camera robbing a McDonalds where they used a brick to smash the windows and rob the staff. The camera footage shows the men using the same blue gloves as used by TSA staff at airport checkpoints.
The gang was made up of three men - but the TSA is most interested in Quantrez Sawyer as they are the ones that employ him to guard Detroit Metropolitan Airport. The arrest is just another embarrassment for the TSA who seem to have a pretty bad track record. In the past, TSA workers have been arrested on suspicion of luggage theft, theft of an HBO production camera and even possession of child porn.
The three are each being held on a $1 million bond, and if convicted, they may end up spending life sentences in jail.

In my opinion, you'll never get a result from a complaint against TSA. It appears to me that they have a protection code like the "BLUE" code of police. They cover each other's back and there seems to not be an official complaint "single point of contact" to go to. If you get a response to a complaint, it's a shuck and jive kind of response. I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. I have met a few (very few) that have a bubblie attutude and are helpful, but most have a negative/surly attitude. When flying, I just tolerate them and move on.

Well, what do you expect. These idiots as well as alot of so called minorities are hired under affirmative action programs and all taxpayors foot the bill and get crap in return. Just look at the post office -- a real paragon of efficeincy--wow. There is not one letter carrier worth more than 600.00 per week period. This should be an entry level position and not a permanent job for lazy union sheep. The P.O. is 234 years old and still does not make a profit.
Ok so you don't think I' correct --lets look at a couple of facts.
1. What other job does a mail carrier qualify for. Lets see he can deliver a very light piece of paper to a few homes everyday or so. No thinking nec same homes same product.
2. These guys are lazy and know or are thought to work the system for all they can get.
3. If brains were dynamite they could'nt blow their noses.
4. And of course they are stupid union sheep. When is the last time they got a raise for their ability, work ethic, attitude or smarts?
I rest my case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was talking with a friend who works at the Post Office. I asked about the term 'Going Postal". He said the majority of the time, a hard working, reliable person with seniority will be overlooked and the promotion given to someone who can't speak or mumble our language properly.

There is no consistancy with what the tsa employees do. One stopped my husband for a search because he pants pocket looked like there was something in them and they were baggy, with the same pants the same stuffed pockets the same airport no one questioned it, yet on the same flight my son was stopped because his pants looked baggy , believe me they weren't. He is a very conservative 38 yr. old. I fly once or twice a month and I truly believe some of the people wouldn't know how to identify anything unless it was in plain site. I do believe making this statement from all my US travels most look minority or foreign and I would really be interested in stats of how many Americans vs. others are tsa employed? For over 5 yrs. my name on my passport is spelled wrong, one person has questioned this and I just say turn to the back page there is an addendum the government corrected this . That one person was in Cancun. At LGA it took an agent 4 times to find my name to give me a boarding pass. He handed me the pass I didn't read it when I got to security it wasn't my name, not even close. He couldn't find and to get rid of me he gave me someone elses. He should have been fired.

Maybe you should pick more then your nose before posting, like mabe pick up some actual facts. The TSO's Federal Job Classification Number is either 1801 or 1802, both Law Enforcement titles. The laws that they enforce are Federal ones, not those of any particular state or county. By the way, TSO's are sworn in. They do not carry sidearms for two reasons:because the job does not require that they do, and the Congress did not authorize them to do so. As for your son the LEO, he knew better than to present unacceptable ID. (A Badge and Deputies ID can be obtained from numerous sources, and no individual can be trained to recognize and verify every single Federal, State, county and local LEO ID in the country.) If you were to read anything more then the funny pages and actually retain the information, you would understand how many times the 'bad guys' have used or attempted to use false, stolen and or altered creds and a shield over the last few years. Shame on your LEO for his attitude of entitlement, and a job well done to the TSO for having him produce the ID your LEO knows he should have started with. As for not making the skys any safer to fly, you should again fall back on some solid research instead of your butt. Hundreds of thousands of edged weapons have been stopped- remember that the 9-11 jackasses used nothing but edged weapons- as well as at least one handgun a week (unbelievable after all this time but there you go, more morons you should recognize.) We will not even get into the tons of hazmat that are stopped every year, things like various acids, ammo and other Federally classified hazzardous chemicals. True, there are some individuals who slip in to jobs that they should not be in (remember the LAPD and a certain Rodney King) but when they are found they are removed from service. You don't say what you do for a living bbut I'm sure that you had your share of them on your job as well. Finally remember what the TSO's are looking for, and the difficulties they are forced to deal with on a daily basis, like passengers who really don't believe that a bottle of J.W Blue is a liquid, and no they are not allowed to take that 750 mL bottle on the plane, even if they did spend $200 dollars for it. Talk about a 'Duh' moment!

It's a govt agency; they hire fat, lazy, ghetto types but not those that really speak of our society. I travel every week; feelvno sense of security by these TSA people Many of them cannot barely get up off the seat as they are so overweight; lazy and otherwise preoccupied with what they are about to eat on their break. Sorry I am not against fat people but these TSA agents I have encountered need to take off some punds and focus on their jobs rather than where the next piece of pizza is coming from..Not to mention the ghetto types who oogle at every female half their age plus double their age. They are crass and not the least bit interested in our country or people security. Sorry gang but I fly every week all over the country and this is the sad reality of what I see..SO NO SURPRISE THIS GHETTO TYPE WAS INVOLVED IN ILLAWFUL SIDELINES..

Was hired by TSA and walked off the job after the other TSA employees refused to scan things that went off because they just "Assumed" that it was more Disney souveniers. TSA called me telling me I would never be able to work for the government again if I didn't come back, LMAO, got a better job and don't need our sorry ass government job. Took a flight recently and looked at the TSA employees, they were text messaging, drinking soda, laughing and best of all they was very very rude to people trying to go through this so called security. My mother who is handicapped, they took her wheel chair to scan it and I had to ask them for it back before my mother fell to the ground, no respect and all ignorant minorities. Glad my smarts and education took me somewhere I know my hard work pays off for. WHAT A JOKE THIS TSA IS......

After reading all these comments I'm thinking that this whole TSA thing is just another government screw up. So they are a private outfit contracted by the government? Then it is the government's responsibility to get rid of them if all these stories are true. Less government; less screw ups. Favoring minorities is a form of discrimination which I believe is immoral and so is the law and government that supports it.

The one post that says that there are PAs' and signs and announcements before you go through the checkpoint is absolutely correct. I am a customs security guard and go through checkpoints all the time. You hear the PA say that no creams gels liquids or aerosols are permitted past the checkpoint. I tried taking my lunch through which included jello- hello- I am an employee of the airport. I am not getting on a jet to blow up my fancy jello! I eat my jello! I had to take it to my office to refrigerate and go back on my lunchbreak which takes time because I have to go out of security to eat and then back in and to the other terminal. But the TSA girl who took it and I have never gotten along at all- but the rest of the TSA I know are great people to know. I am friends with most of them. I used to work outside of the checkpoints doing ticket checking and one day a passenger came back to me and mentioned someone had left a dangerous weapon- a cleaver. I went and told an agent and they treated me with respect and took the cleaver and called the Port Police and they took over. So TSA has good people working except for a few with an attitude.

Adem, Were you born and raised in the USA? Your post is a disgrace. Computers have "Spell Check" and some normally educated brains have it too. Did you read what you typed? What a mess.
If you are 100% American, you've caused me to be embarassed.

Another nail in the Detroit coffin. What that part of Michigan needs is a complete enema and the US Army to take control of the city and put all the teenage African American men in prison until they are at least 30. The crime rate would go way down.

OK. So this thug and his bud's rob a couple of fast food places. Now they are held on 1 million dollar bail and may be facing life in prison (according to the article). Just what kind of screening did the TSA do to pass and hire this piece of garbage and since when does 3 robberies get you life? There is way more to this guys background the article is not exposing. TSA.....what a joke.

Our federal political parties and courts are totally anti-White racists since desegregation and especially kicked up a notch since the 1964 b.s./ racist civil rights laws. The government caters to thew lowest common denominator and he a one of a myriad of examples ! " Celebrate diversity "; not !

I am a Supervisor at TSA and take my job very seriously to keep the flying public safe. Also served 23 years in the ARMY (SPECIAL FORCES) so remember it was people like me who put their life on the line so that you can have the freedom to say such ignorant things about TSA and goverment workers. Most of us are combat veterans who are still serving their country by working for TSA and take great pride in doing their job. P.S. Yes I am a African American.
