Sizzle in the Bermuda sun this summer
Bermuda isn't all that far, especially if you're on the east coast, making it a great destination for long weekends and brief jaunts. Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa is also offering a deal that'll amp up the temptation for you a bit. The resort's "Sizzling Summer" special includes a $600 resort credit when you book a six-night stay, with $500 for five nights and $400 for four. The best part is that you can take advantage of Cambridge's rather liberal definition of summer, which apparently begins in Bermuda on May 1 and stretches all the way to the end of October. At $615 a night, Cambridge does appeal to a more upscale crowd, and keep in mind that it's an adults-only property. To take advantage of this deal, remember to use promotional code CBSO10.

The big discount Bermuda ad:
They/you must be kidding! What a deal!
A $600 reduction for six nights! Wow!

At Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa when it says Adults-only, does that mean you can go nude?

My husband and I went there several years ago to Cambridge Beaches. yes, it is upscale, BUT there are many perks. That cost includes full served and/or buffet breakfast, tea(Bermuda is British) in the afternoon, and full dinner. They also have the "dine-around",which means you can choose to have dinner at several other top-flight resorts. In my fifties, I appreciated the lack of gambling, hence no "undesirables",. It is not a spring break destination, which means I won't be accosted at every corner by kids acting like depraved, immoral idiots. There is a very high standard of living, little to no unemployment,so it is a very safe place to be. It felt wonderful to be able to take the pink buses everywhere and explore on our own, which I would never do in the Bahamas, Jamaica or Mexico, three places I will never go to again. If I have to stay inside my resort to enjoy my vacation, that's not a vacation. We loved Bermuda so much, that several years later(2005) my husband and I got married there. We stayed at the Reefs this time. I know this is beyond many people's reach, but we are in our 50's and if you want a trip to remember, Bermuda is spectacular. I highly recommend the 45 foot catamaran champagne sunset cruise out of Hamilton. When I went to Jamaica with several women, we were on a charter flight, and several young men were hung over and sick. It was so gross. I am so beyond that. Like I said, if you are looking for swinging nightlife, go to Las Vegas or the Bahamas, but if you want unparalleled beauty, quiet elegance, world class spas and wonderful places to explore, Bermuda is the place to be.

I have vacationed on a number of islands, always avoiding Las Vegas, thinking it would be too noisy, flashy, not my type of vacation. Upon visiting Las Vegas in August 2009, staying at a quiet, small hotel, The Golden Nugget. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my stay with my daughter and grandson. The hotel staff made us feel very welcome and were accomodating. The pool has a fascinating shark tank that appeals to adults as well as kids. If you want a vacation that will be as relaxing as you want it to be and not strain your wallet, Las Vegas offers great room rates. That said, my heart belongs in the islands, aside from the Bahamas....too commercial, and not the friendliest people. My very favorite being the Grenadine Islands.....PARADISE! I also love the BVI's, St Lucia, Contadora, Barbados, St John, Martinique, St. Martin, the Cayman Islands, Bermuda to name most of them.I I look forward to exploring many more.
