Tourist falls to his death in active volcano on Bali
A Swedish tourist named Daniel Fetersen died today after he plunged over 490 feet into the crater of an active volcano on the island of Bali. The 25-year-old man reportedly leaned over the edge of the crater on Mt. Batur to get a better look, then slipped and fell onto the sharp rocks below. The accident occurred at 5 AM local time. Fetersen, along with two of his friends, set out before dawn this morning to make a guided trek to the summit of the 5633 foot tall mountain. The hike is a popular one with tourists to Bali, who enjoy watching the sun rise over the volcanic crater, and while it can be physically challenging, it is non-technical in nature, and more accessible than some of the other volcanoes on the island.
Search and rescue teams are hoping to retrieve the body from the crater by using ropes, but the operation is still on going at this time.

Your ignorant, self righteous writing only makes your beliefs less attractive to anyone with a descent IQ. First off, are you not being blasphemous yourself (use the correct word if you are going to criticize society) in trying to dictate and predict God's word. How can you, a human being (and an unintelligent one at that) hold any comprehension of God's work if he is omnipotent. I never understood how a person in this day and age could be so oblivious to the scientific facts that are present. Just because evolution took place does not deny the fact that there is a God. Hard-headed ignoramuses such as yourself are prove of human evolution at its finest (you seem to be one step behind). And as for "judgment day" and the end of times, people have been claiming that for thousands of years now and it has yet to come true, why am I suppose to believe you know? Hurricanes and tsunamis have been around long before man was and they will be long after. Get over yourself and read a f****** book, not one written by man claiming to be God's word. Very much off topic I'm sorry, but I just couldn't let that comment stand with no reply.

I bet you its a mega murder plot. His friends pushed him over either on purpose or accident and rather than suffer for a murder rap or manslauter charge they say he 'slipped'. A likely story.

If you behave recklessly, this is often the outcome. Have Mercy on him, Lord.

Human curiosity? an accident? The fact is most humans are idiots with an overblown sense of entitlement. Crawling up an active volcano to look inside is just plain stupid. I love people, have many friends but cant stand idiots. Maybe we should go mountain climbing in Iran and then expect the US to save us when we get arrested and thrown in jail (more idiots) Hey Percy..an accident? an accident is an unavoidable situation, hmmm Im guessing here but climbing a volcano was probably unavoidable...there are no accidents, only mistakes. Some people just dont have the common sense of a gnat, I have a normal curiosity also, but more importantly I have common sense. Im so sick of people who do stupid things and then expect others to risk their lives, or spend some town or govt. money to save their sorry asses.

It's a terrible thing to happen. Condolences to his family.
However, Darwin says 'let him die'
