For the record, Boston should be ousted from the list. I live here and 79% of the time the sky is a murky gray. Oh, and if you try to peel a layer of clothing off while stretched out on the banks of the Charles, enjoy a lovely afternoon of disapproving stares. Can't wait to flee this godforsaken place :(

I lived in Boston for 9 years. It was a great place. I've lived in a number of places in the US and Boston is one of the most European, cosmopolitan cities. The architecture, the food, the style! It's late March, now. I'm sure that come late April the city will be in bloom and the weather will be awesome until just past the New Year. The only time I've really hated the weather in Boston was early January through late March.
