Never really stuck out my thumb but have been offered a few rides on the country roads of Northeastern PA. The one that sticks out in my mind the most is being picked up by 4 guys in a van, me be a single female was scared to death but I was very tired and it was getting dark. The guys were tripping on acid and were just coming back from hunting!! They drove past the road I needed to be on, the thoughts that were running through my head. About another 5 miles they turned on a dirt road, I thought I was going to be a headliner on the news. But they just dropped off 2 of their buddies turned around and drove me to my friends house. Shared a couple of beers and they were on their way. I did a lot of praying that day.
