Photo of the day (3.25.10)

Today's well deserved Photo of the Day goes to Luke Robinson. This shot was taken at the Iguazu National Park in Argentina. He points out the boat at the bottom of the picture. I can't imagine what the experience would be like from that vantage.
Just as the Niagara Falls can be viewed from both the U.S. and Canada, the falls can be seen from Argentina and Brazil. The Iguazu Falls were named as a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Hi guys, thanks for picking this one - it's one of my faves from this trip.
In response to the comment "I can't imagine what the experience would be like from that vantage" - well, there's no need to spend too much mental energy imagining, as I took a little video with a waterproof camera when I was in a similar boat earlier that day:

It was a great day out, that's for sure! Highly recommended.

I was in that very spot about two weeks ago. I understood the subtlety of the word "breathtaking" for the first time that day. I kept gasping and gasping, speechless. Truly amazing.
