oh gosh, I purchased a reservation on American just last night! Any idea if I could somehow still use the code to take the discount?

Unlike Delta, American has no 24 hour return policy. (instead, they have a 24 hour hold policy)
At least the coupons are good for a few months!

you can call American and they can refunt the ticket within 24 hours. Then you have to rebook it and see if the fare is still available.
I always check first them call.

Golly! Gee! Wow! A 10% discount on a full-priced, last minute travel airline ticket in exchange for a 100% increase in sheer terror (security protocol at the airport), a 100% increase in disrespect from the airport/airline employees (Specifically? Flight attendants.), and a guaranteed cramped seat which you may only leave at risk of life and limb? Hell, that ain't no bargain.
And I would just like to put this out there, too. The results of this Greatest Gridiron Glory survey are useless. It matters not whether you're a die hard football fan, or if you've never seen a football game in your life. Just choose some answer and click to receive your gree gift (like this discount). There is not truth to be measured. Oh, yeah, that's the American way nowadays, isn't it. Sigh.
