Atlantic City hotel vying for 'Jersey Shore' tourists
It's no secret that I'm not a fan of the "Jersey Shore" debacle, but it's true I can't get enough of the super-fist-pumping-hair-bumping promotions hotels are doing to cater to wanna-be Guidos and Guidettes. The most recent hotel vying for the attention of "Jersey Shore" fans is none other than The Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, site of episode 7 of the hot MTV reality show. Get your spray tan on and get a load of this deal:
The "Jersey Shore Package" includes:
- Overnight accommodations in a standard guest room starting at $878 per night per room, or $4,230 per night for the suite where cast members stayed
- One dinner at Il Verdi, the resort's Italian restaurant
- Breakfast at Seaside Café
- Gift certificate to the Tropicana Salon, good for a "Jersey Shore Do" (for girls, guidette poufs with bumpits and for guys a guido "blow-out" ala Pauly D)
- A room service basket stocked with Italian delights, including (but not limited to) Italian cured meats, bread sticks and biscotti
- VIP admission to Providence nightclub and complimentary IN Cards which give access to nightclubs, food and beverage and parking discounts and more.
The "Jersey Shore" package is available through June 26, 2010. If you go, please take pictures of your new 'do.

I'm a 60 year young hippy. I've seen all kinds of fads and cultures come and go. Yeah, these people are loud and trying their best to show off. But really there's not a thing wrong with these kids. I see a lot of people outside their group try to provoke them into violence or scenes. Poor Snooky or whatever her name is, got clocked by an anti social bully. The guy had been cut off from the bar and started to drink the shots on the bar that were for her friends. She called the guy on it and he decked her. And that just isn't right. The whole place jumped up and put this guy outside. And when the police came all was taken care of and that was that. The girl in no way deserved getting hit like that. No person does. I'm agin' violence.
These kids love to party. They love the Italian food they grew up on and they like to dance. Is this a crime? So what if they have an accent? What does that have to do with anything? And before anybody starts casting doubt on how smart they are they should ask themselves if they know the Grand Unified Field Theory. NO? I thought so.
Come on people we're all Americans. And as such we all come from different cultures. This should be celebrated not ridiculed.

$878 is a ripoff, unless it was for the Water Club at Borgata. For the people who actually gamble we get comps & free rooms.

Come on -- if this "Jersey Shore" package doesn't include a dip in the hot tub with Snookie, then it's not worth a dime! Ladies, Mike the Situation is waiting for you in front of the Tunnel of Love (well, that's not what they call it nowadays) on the boardwalk of Seaside Heights. Yea, I've been spending summer weekends down the Joisey Shore since the late '50. I'm Italian-American, but not a Guidette, thank you. I do hope that T-shirts are available, though, with their fah-chems on them.

WHAT A RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!! OMG, I STAY AT AC ALL THE TIME. For a weekend its like 250 a night. Still 500 is better than that. You can book mid week for as low as $39.00 or get a comp. I gets comps from Harrahs all the time.
Cut me a break!

OMG...there'll all showing their Jersey stuff...like the guy who stays AT A.C. all the time....isn't it IN A.C....and as for the people .... 2 types evolved from JerseyShore...those that are Italian and the majority that is SO glad we're not!!!!...
Most of the posts here give credence to the show...and even more so!!!!

Ewww!!! Am I the only person who finds this show and its marketing insulting to Italians? The vast majority are not nasty-greasy or use the f-word every 30 seconds. As for the Trop, it was trying to re-invent itself as a decent place to stay in AC-this definately won't help. My family is real Jersey, not New York SHOOBIES! (home is on Ventnor Ave.) Please, keep your 'poufs' and 'blow-outs' in NY, far away from here!!!
