Photo of the Day (3.7.2010)

Only when we take a step back from our travels do we begin to see the bigger picture. Those moments where you slow down, take a deep breath and allow your senses to take in the rich sensory experience of traveling. Flickr user Many Moon Honeymoon has the right idea with today's photo from Vang Vieng, Laos. It's just a field of stupid plants, right? But take another look. The rich patterns of the leaves. The many shades of green. The solitary farmer, crouched in her bright blue hat. Amazing how such a mundane scene could be so striking, isn't it?
