I've done Winay Pichhu. Looking over the side might be scary, but overall the hike isn't *that* bad. In fact, it's a huge ancient Incan staircase. Just don't look over the side. Hiking the Na Pali coast in Kauai was 100x scarier and much much more dangerous. Not only do you have a cliff on one side, it's always wet and slippery. I saw people in hiking boots flip backward as their feet slid on the rocks. It made Winay Picchu look like a stroll in the park. BUT IT'S WORTH IT!

The NaPali Coast walk is fabulous!!! It should be included in this group. Take a movie next time you go! We have always loved it.

People fall off of the Huayna Picchu trail all the time (two had slipped the week before I was there, and plummeted all the way to the canyon floor). Really should not be dismissed as a stroll in the park.
