I hope with the mention of "El Nino" the olympic commitee doesn`t look into the future and say no more West Coast Olympics, North and South America, during El Nino years. Look at Squaw Valley the site of the 1960 olympics, they have plenty of snow during this El Nino year. Reno Nv. and Trukee ca. hope to have them in the future, so what is our Govenor of California doing to halt more bad news for Olympics in America, it appears not much. California for those who can pronouce it correctly needs a spokeperson, that doesn`t need an office and huge staff and salary to promote California better than this goof. America didn`t get in the running for the Summer Olympics because the world is sick of the airline security problem. Northern California and Nevada would stand to help itself and put more people to work, by hosting such an event. This news of no snow at the Olympics because of El nino, is going to come back to bite "us", if we do not make a point of seperating our ski and facilitys from Canada`s. If we wait until the committee uses El Nino for an excuse not to have them on the west coast, it will be harder to defend and promote California and Nevada as a host fo the Olympics here in the future. We need to Make this point befor its just excepted that El Nino years are bad years for west coast snow.
