Win a Plantronics Bluetooth headset from Gadling!
As the number of states introducing hands-free laws slowly grows, it is becoming more important than ever to practice safe talking when you are in your car.
Since we care about your safety (and want to prevent you from facing a steep fine), we have teamed up with Plantronics to help you get your hands on a top-of-the-line Bluetooth headset. We've got six headsets to give away, and all you need to do in order to win one of these is leave a comment telling us the weirdest place you have ever made a phone call.
Once you have entered the contest, you'll have a chance at winning either a Plantronics Discovery 975 (retail price $129.99) or a Plantronics Voyager Pro (retail price $99.99).
The Discovery 975 is one of the coolest looking headsets on the market, and comes in a stylish leather case that doubles as a portable charger.
The Voyager Pro is the perfect headset for busy professionals who demand the best sound quality on both ends of their call.

I'm a city traveller, I love big cities. So my weirdest call was in Vietnam, was staying at a nice hotel in the middle of the country by the beach. We decide to go for a "tour" that the hotel offered of river/jungle. It ended up just a friend and I, but the tour was planned for 6, so was 2 guides (where waitresses from the hotel) and the driver. The amusing weird part was I somehow had signal going down a small little river further into the jungle (only had ~2 feet above our heads while sitting in the long little boat being pushed by man with a long branch...!). I ended up having a call with some family back in the USA! They couldn't believe what I was doing and naturally was shocked with the pictures. Absolutely amazing place...

For me, I'd say it was from a small plane, 1-2 miles above the ground.

In the back seat of an open-cockpit PT-19! It was too windy for me to be heard, though.

There's this religious place in the Himalayas in India, its a temple at the top of a mountain. On your way there you have to crawl through a cave that has small water puddles in places. At some points the cave roof is so low that you have to crawl on your stomach. I took a call lying on my stomach in one of those puddles, it was other s in my group trying to figure out where I was..
Still surprised how I had any reception and thankful that all my waterproofing worked and kept my phone alive
