I stayed there and it is a very cool place, but it seems like Hyatt is trying to copy it with their aLoft hotel line, which is similar but much roomier rooms.

The hotel may be trendy and cool but while it is within the greater city limits it most definitely is NOT in the city center. It is in the district called South and by tram is about 10-15 minutes from the city center where virtually all of the tourist sites are located. The city center is called Centrum. I live in the centrum in the canal belt near the Flower Market. Last week I took the tram to this neighborhood to hang out with a friend. It is deceptive to say it is in the center. This is an area where people going to conferences at the RAI or working at the trade center like to stay. There are also many nice budget hotels plus lovely B&Bs in this area. All with lower rates because it is NOT in the city center. If you want to stay in the city center, this is not the area or the place you want to stay. Look for your accomodations in the Centrum. Even the districts called 'The Pijp' and 'Old West' are closer to the centrum than this hotel. Trip Advisor is badly informed and just plain wrong about the location. It's a bit like booking a hotel that advertises it is in the city center of NYC and arriving to find the hotel is located in Queens instead of Manhattan. Yes, it is NYC but it is not the city center.

Trip advisor CANNOT be trusted. They remove bad comments about hotels even though the hotel might be a house of horrors. I go with google every time. They don't censor comments.
