Having moved to North Vietnam from Louisiana ,USA 2 years back I encourage everyone to visit places such as Sapa.The people are very friendly and the region is wonderful.There are many things to do and see I find it would be impossible to be bored when visiting places such as this.

Thanks Stephen! I agree that Sapa is a fascinating place to visit. These sorts of interactions with hill tribes are one of the more unique experiences you can have during your visit - I encourage anyone looking to get off the "tourist trail" to spend some time with the hill tribes...you won't regret it.
