Well. Gimelfarb was alone hiking. You go off trail for 100 yards at Rincon, and your not a woodsman with a compass and map, You're finished.
A woman broke her leg in the OSA and her idiot husband went and found a Ranger but forgot one little thing. COORDINATES. They found her 3 weeks later....dead of course.
Hiking here is not like the Empire with all of it's blazed trails, beer cans and cigarette butts to lead you on your way.'These so called " hikers" have no business in the jungle without a guide.Period.This isn't the Smokies !
I've been mountaineering here for 20 years and still get turned around and I know how to work a compass, properly !

The last guy was in Tamarindo, I believe. Tamarindo is full of dirtbags, including the "police". Tamarindo is a nono alone.A few people with you and you're OK.
He probably got lured off by a girl and the guys "disappeared' him.

I didn't hear about the Aussie. He'll turn up. Beer is super cheap here so he's in a bar....SOMEWHERE.

I DOUBT VERY MUCH THE AUSSIE IS IN A BAR HAVING BEER AS HE IS DEAD; HIS BONES WERE FOUND 1 YEAR AFTER HE WENT MISSING.
