Number one iPhone travel app developer announces TripDeck
Mobiata, the developer behind FlightTrack (number one travel program in the iPhone App store), FlightTrack Pro and HotelPal just announced their newest application; TripDeck.TripDeck is an itinerary management application with real-time flight status notifications. The program can integrate with your TripIt itineraries, and warns of delays, gate changes and other alerts.
I've been using FlightTrack Pro for some time now, and it has become an invaluable tool when I'm on the road. In many cases. FlightTrack Pro has been able to warn me of changes, even before the airline notified their own gate staff.
TripDeck takes the best of FlightTrack, and focuses on alerts and other status updates as well as a really easy to use interface.
The program allows you to manually import your trip, or link to your TripIt account. Once a trip is in TripDeck, it is organized into "trip cards" for each part of your trip (flight, car rental, hotel). With a simple finger swipe, you can browse through each segment. The cards hold all the information you need to make your trip a lot easier, including phone numbers, directions and more.
The application costs $9.99 and is available as of today from the App Store.

I love FlightTrack Pro, and I like the idea behind TripDeck (although doesn't TripIt's iPhone app already do most of this, albeit without the UI fanciness?), but given that I paid for FTPro, I'm not nuts about the idea of having to pay ANOTHER $10 for an app that doesn't add significant functionality.

Does TripDeck do what Flight Track Pro does or do you need both?

Great article ! I thought your readers might be interested to know about LocoTrivia, the world's first location based trivia game. When you launch LocoTrivia, you will be asked trivia questions about the world around you. It is a great way to learn about a new city. If you have a great idea for a trivia question, you can add it to LocoTrivia.

This is not worth the $10.
It currently does not sync with TripIt (the only potential value), so basically you manually enter all of your trip data onto something called a Trip Card. I use Microsoft Word to do this same thing, and it's faster.
So if you want immediate info on flights, do FlightTrack. If you want to easily integrate your trip logistics, use TripIt.
If you want real itinerary mgmt/planning tools (where to go and what to do, customized tour guides), choose NileGuide.
