Winter Park is a great, affordable ski destination. Even more so right now because now through Christmas because you can get free lift tickets for every 2 or more nights of lodging. www.PlayWinterPark.com (P.S. the "no luxury properties" isn't accurate anymore. There are some brand new condos at the base that are really nice.)
