Watching those commercials was like a trip down memory lane! I found the Republic and NWA commercials particularly amusing, as both airlines flew me up to Minneapolis in 1979 and offered me a flight attendant position. This was back in the day when they loved to hire flight attendants who had a medical background, (I did) and the job was still considered glamorous. In spite of it still being a glamorous job back then, I ended up not taking the position for various reasons, and moved to California. I often wonder what my life would have been like had I become a flight attendant.
As far as the commercials go, in my opinion, United has the best commercials. Rhapsody in Blue is a classic, timeless, song and makes their commercial seem less dated than the other commercials. The song has become United's signature of their brand - classy and timeless, in the advertising world.
