By showing the photos Huey has indeed defined them, and poorly at that. yes there are problems, but take careful note, as bad as it is there are many people within the reservations who are working towards making things better.

Lakota people will never thrive under the American system and any belief that Americans can "save" them should be immediately abandoned. But that does not mean Americans cannot help, they just must do so in the right ways. Visit www.changingwinds.org to see how help is welcomed and what you can do.
