Scott,
While I do not have experience using this particular brand, I will say that I have tried several similar products using this same technology (i.e. crystal-turning-into-gel) with disastrous results!! At very high temperatures, the white-colored gel expand, tearing the pad and bursting out - covering the laptop/clothes with this potentially unsafe(??) chemical paste, and possibly even damaging the laptop.
So keep in mind that the gel-pad is good only to the extent that your laptop does not get TOO hot!!
