All the major international airlines to survive will merge or routes shared such as the proposed partnership between Iberia , BA and American airlines so even fewer pilots will be needed.
BA has just recorded its highest loss ever and Japan JAL looks like being bailed out by their government for the second time in a decade.I have been involved in travel for over 20 years aairport parking company and thought 9/11 was as low a point but I have never seen anything like the past year. Would not be surprised to see a major airline go to the wall. Lehman brothers was only 12 months ago.
