Better to name this after a president that got the nobel peace prize than to name it after the father of al qudia like regan international in california. Carter did more for world peace and for the united states than all of the republicon presidents combined did. every republicon president after Carter was by all definitions was a terrorist and they should have all been arrested for crimes against humanity. Carter was and still is a much greater man and president than all those nasty republicons and republicons know that, that is why they bad mouth him. they wish they were 10% the man and president his was.and is.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Don't you ever read history?? Carter equals runaway inflation, plunging economy, oil prices doubled, gave away the Panama Canal, looked like an idiot when Iran took over the U.S. Embassy... And, he still doesn't know what he is doing!!f Maybe naming the airport after him will get him all excited and he will stay on his peanut farm and keep his mouth shut!!!

I think you are the only person on earth that doesn't agree that Carter was the worst president in our liftime. You obviously weren't alive or old enough to remember the disasters that his administration unleashed on the economy which explains why you probably voted for the current assault on our freedoms and constitution. We all pay and will continue to pay for the ignorance of your kind. It breaks my heart to see where people like you are taking our great country!

The only thing that Jimmy Carter has going for him is that Barry is headed toward taking the title of worst ever POTUS away from him.

The ONLY thing Carter did that was worthwhile is Habitat for Humanity. I was 10 when Carter elected and the only things I remember about that time was the family struggling to make ends meet, odd and even days at the gas stations, wearing bulky clothes in the winter INDOORS because our gratious leader told us to set the thermostat at 68 degrees and the Iran hostage crisis. A great 4 years in American history!

An alarming trend these days is that so many people think that history started on the day they were born....and because they never bother to find out the REAL truth about anything before or near that point, they are the perfect empty vessels for use by those who train them to repeat everything they're instructed to repeat. Leather, you've completed your recital admirably.

Actually it is kind of a fitting tribute to Jimmy Carter. He gets a little airstrip in the middle of nowhere named after him while Reagan gets a major international airport. Matches the relative stature of the two as leaders quite nicely.

Anyone that would consider Jimmy Carter as a great President clearly was not alive at the time of his administration. It was the worst 4 years of a President since I've been alive. Inflation was unlike we have ever seen. In 1976 a new corvette sticker price was $6300 by 1980 it was $18,000. You could only get gas on the odd even days of your license plate number and we should have bombed Iran back to the stone age. IT WAS TERRIBLE and I remember having the same feeling that I have now with this president. People born during prosperous times have NO point of reference but they soon will have I fear.
