People of think of environmental impact in a third person point of view. While personally experiencing a pristine natural environment is very educating indeed, tourists often fail to think of their own impacts on the places they visit.
And talking of leaving no traces in the places you visit, here's the link to a website that will provide your readers a ton of information on how to travel with minimal environmental impact. It's called 'Leave No Trace: Center for Outdoor Ethics'. It was very educational for me!
