What if the plane is delayed at arrival? More than I'd like, I've had a plane arrive late and be turned around in less than 30 minutes. I think I've only ever seen one pilot do a walk about outside and I fly a lot (I tend to arrive an hour before flight to watch the ground workers get the plane ready... for fun...).
