Can anyone explain how Mt. Chimborazo is the point furthest from the centre of the earth?
Patricia Oct 7th 2009 2:03PM
Because that is the mountain that is closest to the equator and the earth is not perfectly round. It is actually a slight oval so the mountains further away from the equator are a little closer to the center of the earth.
