A tilt-shifted day in the life of Disney's "The Magic Kingdom"
There are thousands of videos posted to the Internet each day - but every now and then you come across one that just makes your jaw drop. Such is the case with the Disney video published above.
October 1st was the Magic Kingdom's birthday, and to celebrate, Disney shot a video showing a day in the life of the Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World. This isn't just any boring old video - it was shot using "tilt shifting", which gives the whole thing a really nifty appearance.
Click play, and see for yourself how awesome the effect is, and how amazing a day in the life of the park looks. Make sure to hang around till the end of the clip for a special greeting from some Disney characters.
If you like the tilt shift effect, then check out this post from back in May, describing how you can take your own photos and add a similar effect.

Something like this takes some time. As good as Disney is, I'm sure even they needed a bit more time. I'm betting it was just a regular sunny day here in Florida a few weeks or months prior. This was a great video. I'll be showing all the kids tomorrow morning. Thanks Disney!

I was also there Oct. 1st and said the same thing. Where are the Halloween decorations? Also there was no Spectro Magic Parade on the 1st. Sorry, but this video was not taken on Oct 1st for the birthday of Disney.

You know you people do not really pay attention to what you read do you. The video was made to commemorate Disney's birthday on Oct. 1st. The video was not shot on Oct. 1st. you can not shot and edit a video all in 1 day. Well some people can but not when part of the video was shot at night. As for the video, alot of the places looked like toys even though they were just as real as the computer you are looking at now.

I have been wanting to take my children to Disney for years but for one reason or another could never afford to. Im now a Grandfather and still havent been able to fulfill this dream. It saddens me that I may never be able to.

I know the feeling too, I have no kids and I'm afraid the window has closed for me on trips there too.

I don't know if you're closer to Disneyland or disneyworld, but Disney land has been running a program for the last year that allows you to make payments on annual passes if you live in So Cal. (i believe that Disney world has something similar) Costco offers ticket discounts. if you know someone in the miltary, they can get discounts. If you call disney, they may be able to help you with a deal.

In 2010 Disney is offering a free park ticket to people who spend a day volunteering at one of the eligible organizations. Google Give a Day Get a Disney Day.

My grandchildren are fortunate, they've been to many themeparks but never Disney.
That is supposed be "the trip for us to go together " it hasn't worked out yet, But I feel it wil someday. I hope and pray for it to be possible. I don't live near my son and grandchildren but I've saved a Disney fund and will be ready to make it fabulous for us all when we do get to go. I used to live in Fl. and go to Disney, always dreaming of the day I would have grandchildren to shrare it with

Guess what? This comes across as WAY less interesting than it could be. Looks like exactly what it was -- an editor (or similar function) was given a new toy to use -- and overused it. Walt Disney World is a fascinating, colorful, lively place . . .but riushing from scene to scene is a waste. Better way to go? Give us 24 hours (or 12, or whatever constitutes a full day) of ONE (maybe two, side by side) areas or attractions -- it's the ebb and flow of crowds and clouds and colors -- OK, and mice -- that fascinates. You really don't get enough of that flitting around from here to there to there and to there.
Just my two cents' worth.

LOVED IT!!!!!! It brought back memories of our wonderful trip to WDW this past summer!!!
Thanks to Disney staff for this special treat! :)

I felt the same thing when I watched the video. It brought back memories of this summer when I went to Disney World. I visited Disney World for the first time when I was six and now I am 28 and every time I go back I feel like a kid again. It is one, if not the best, theme parks in the world. The staff there is very nice and I wish that anyone who wants to go will be blessed with the opportunity to go.
